The
curriculum is developmentally appropriate, encouraging children to
be actively involved in the learning process. The classroom offers
many opportunities for children to manipulate a wide variety of
materials; to play alone and with others in sensory, constructive,
and symbolic activities; to ask questions and develop concepts about
themselves and their world; to be physically active, and to express
themselves in words, art, and music. As children develop greater
understanding and improve skill levels throughout the year, the
teacher will observe, and when appropriate, increase the complexity
and challenge of these activities. |
